How the current public website handles enquiries, technical information and future data-protection responsibilities.

This page applies to the public website and connected institutional portals. It will be reviewed as digital services and record-processing responsibilities evolve.
Purpose of this notice
This Privacy Notice explains how personal information may be handled when a visitor uses the current Federal Polytechnic Wannune public website.
The present website is primarily an informational platform. A separate and more detailed notice will be required before the future student portal, staff portal, admissions platform and result-processing system begin processing institutional records.
Information currently provided by visitors
- A visitor may enter a name, email address, telephone number, enquiry type, subject and message into the contact form.
- The current contact form does not submit that information to a Federal Polytechnic Wannune website database.
- When the visitor chooses to prepare an enquiry, the website opens the visitor's own email application with the information placed into a draft email.
- The information is transferred only when the visitor reviews and sends that email.
- Visitors may also contact the institution directly through the published email address or telephone numbers.
Technical information
Web hosting, network-security and server systems may ordinarily create technical logs such as internet protocol addresses, browser information, requested pages, timestamps and error records.
These logs should be used only for reasonable security, availability, troubleshooting, performance and lawful administrative purposes.
Cookies and analytics
The current rebuilt website does not intentionally install an advertising, behavioural-profiling or third-party analytics system.
If analytics, embedded media, maps, authentication or other cookie-dependent services are introduced, this notice and the site's cookie controls must be updated before those services are activated.
Purposes for using personal information
- Responding to enquiries and routing messages to the appropriate institutional office.
- Providing requested admission, academic, research, career or administrative information.

- Visitors should never send passwords, one-time codes or complete payment-card information through the public contact form or ordinary email.
- Access to future student, staff and result records will require role-based permissions, authentication, audit logs and appropriate technical safeguards.
- No internet or email service can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so sensitive documents should be transferred only through an approved secure channel.

The current public contact page should not be used to send sensitive educational, health, identity or financial documents concerning a child.
External websites
The website links to existing admission, student, journal, map and other external services. Those services may apply their own privacy notices and technical practices.
Visitors should review the privacy information displayed by an external service before submitting personal information.
Contact and complaints
Privacy enquiries may be sent to info@fedpolywannune.edu.ng using a clear subject such as 'Privacy Enquiry'.
The institution should verify identity before releasing or changing personal records. A formal data-protection contact and request procedure will be published before the full portal launches.
Changes to this notice
This notice may be revised when the website gains new services, legal requirements change or the Polytechnic introduces the student portal, staff portal, admissions workflow or result-processing system.
Material changes should be identified through a revised effective date and an appropriate public notice.
